The Downtown Bozeman Association, Downtown Bozeman art galleries, and retailers and Emerson Center for the Arts and Culture are proud to present this summer’s Downtown Bozeman Art Walks. The Art Walks occur on the 2nd Friday of the month; June through September and again for our “Winter” Art Walk in December from 6 to 8PM in Downtown Bozeman.

The businesses and galleries generally feature artists’ openings and receptions during the event and often provide complimentary hors d’oeuvres and refreshments.  The 2019 Art Walk dates are: June 14, July 12, August 9, September 13 & December 13.

Alara Jewelry, 42 W Main St

Altitude Gallery, 134 E Main St, will have a night of art, wine, and a live painting demonstration by their featured artists, Jenny Christiansen and Mike "Ryno" Ryan, whose bright, colorful paintings beautifully journal their time spent in wild places.

Artists' Gallery, 111 S Grand Ave, 106 (Inside The Emerson), will have three featured artists. Oil painter Jeff Sandholm creates new visions of local, well-known architecture. Fused glass artist Sara Swartz makes mesmerizing functional work full of color and light. Longtime watercolorist and alcohol ink artist Barb Starner paints richly colored landscapes and details of nature.

Bozeman Spirits Distillery, 121 W Main St, is featuring award-winning artist Heidi Erickson of MountainTown Art™–a local art studio specializing in statement art for your modern mountain home. In this collection, you’ll see iconic west and mountain lifestyle imagery, styled with a graphic-modern aesthetic. Come meet the artist, enjoy a cocktail, and find the perfect statement piece for your modern mountain home.

Cello Gallery, 2 W Main St, will feature artist Pete Stecher.

Country Bookshelf, 28 W Main St, will be featuring artist Jane Herzog. Jane Herzog is an emerging artist whose work explores contemporary identities and our ties to traditional craft processes. Her screen prints on paper interrogate the distinctions between art and craft and the changing nature of traditional practices. Her quilts explore these topics further while questioning the methods by which we select our preferences and the habits that govern our tastes.

CTA Architects Engineers, 411 E Main St, 101, will be showcasing our in-house team of creative individuals. Through the pour over painting technique individualized styles of vibrantly marbled canvas’s will be on display.

Ecce Gallery, 111 S. Grand Ave, 105 (Inside The Emerson), will be Gallery featuring Artist TH GIEBINK. Featuring “From where I Stood” paintings and “Shadow Chair” sculpture.

Emerson Center for the Arts & Culture, 111 S Grand Ave (Lobby, Weaver Room and Jesse Wilber Galleries), will be are featuring Zuzanna Karczewska in the Jessie Wilber Gallery and The Compassion Project Installations and Partner Artists in the Lobby & Weaver Room Galleries as well as the upstairs hallways and the west wing. ERA Landmark Real Estate, 8 E Main St

Evrgreen Clothing, 16 E Main St, will be featuring artist Jesine Munson.

The Gem Gallery, 402 E Main St, will feature artist Wilson Wyllie! He is a contemporary landscape and plein-air painter with a love of color, light, and scale. For these reasons, I found a home in Montana’s beautiful and diverse environment after leaving my Virginian roots and traveling the greater United States.

Hattie Rex, 18 S Willson Ave, will be featuring their very own artist, Julia Dobie and her business Third Hand.

Head West, 24 W Main St, will feature acrylic paintings by Will Hunter. Will Hunter is an artist lucky enough to grow up and reside in beautiful Southwest Montana. Hunter developed his skills and techniques beginning when he was a young boy in Bozeman, Montana and continues to explore and refine his personal style. 

Health Collective, 420 W Mendenhall St, 2nd floor, will feature artist Sierra McClain. Facing the possibility of dying after her second stem cell transplant, Sierra picked up a paintbrush and started creating the world she wished to live in: a bright and happy world full of hope. The vibrant colors and movement in her work indeed bring the viewer into that place of inspiration and positivity. 

HeyDay, 7 W Main St, will feature artist Megan Senn. Megan Senn is a Montana native. Her free spirit and passion for art has been ingrained since childhood. Her use of color and texture is unapologetic with a bold disruption of the status quo. Her passion for the “wild” touches the canvas that subtlety connects bold and beauty. She resides in Billings Montana. Her primary medium is acrylic.

Intrigue Ink, 12 E Main St

The LARK + Treeline Downtown, 122 W Main St, will feature multiple artists including Ben Miller with his fly rod paintings and mixed media and MSU Media of Painting Group with encaustic paintings, and Sage Chimo with skull paintings. Plus, enjoy music from Sweet Sage, an Americana trio.

Liv Lively Salon & Boutique, 16 N Tracy Ave

Lockhorn Hard Cider, 21 S Wallace Ave, will be featuring artist Tara Banks

Marina Kessler Jewelry & The White Room, 18 W Main St (Inside Wild Joe*s Coffee), will feature MSU artist Becs Wells.

Meridian Ltd., 101 E Main St, Ste 6, will be featuring Angela Yonke, a local photographer who will be displaying her portraits.

Miller's Jewelry, 35 W Main St

Montana Angler, 435 E Main St, will feature Karl Schwartz of Bozeman Creative. Bozeman Creative was created to offer graphic design services for fly shops and to sell original fishing and fish related art.  However, I also have experience with other art, product design, drafting and landscape design.  I love my job teaching at Bozeman High School and am committed to spreading creativity, teaching technology and encouraging an appreciation of art.

Montana Gift Corral, 237 E Main St, will be featuring Sugarpost Metal Art which are phenomenal American made pieces made of mostly recycled materials, factory seconds and stuff found in the scrap yard. The artist, Fred Conlon describes his work as "innovative metal art that doesn't suck."  Great for indoor or outdoor.  

Montana Silversmith's, 14 W Main St, will feature Livingston photographer, Dave Horvath.

Montana Trails Gallery, 7 W Main St, 102, will be featuring artist Troy Collins. Troy is a nationally-renowned western landscape impressionist. He creates paintings with brilliant color, texture and insight from his studio nestled in the middle of the Bitterroot Mountain Range. 

Mountain Gypsy Studios by Elaine Hansard, 111 S Grand Ave, Studio 214 (Inside The Emerson), will feature Elaine Hansard. Elaine covers a wide range of subjects, from wildlife to mermaids. Come check out some of her latest works during this year’s art walks upstairs at the Emerson in studio 214. Elaine specializes in bronze sculpture, jewelry and belt buckles. She can be recognized from winning first place in last year’s sweet pea art show.

Old Main Gallery, 129 E Main St, will feature their newest exhibit, Nurture. This is a group exhibition featuring new work by Richie Carter, TJ Cunningham, and Morgan Irons.  

Revolvr Menswear, 30 W Main St, will feature artist Craig Peterson.

SLAM (Support Local Artists and Musicians) Gallery, 26 W Main St (Inside Stuffed), will be featuring the 2019 SLAM Visual Arts Scholarship winners, Hazel Peterson & Riley Sabo, along with the Bozeman High School AP Art students' work.
