Art Walks - CANCELLED
Due to public health concerns, our board has decided to cancel the Art Walk Series. Though the event is cancelled, we encourage you to find time on your own schedule (and at your own comfort level) to explore all of the art that Downtown Bozeman has to offer. Stop into one of our many art galleries. In addition to the galleries, many small businesses display pieces from local artists. Enjoy public art displayed such as the sculptures on sidewalks, wrapped traffic control boxes and murals on buildings. Downtown truly is a hub for arts and culture. Check Gallatin Art Crossings interactive map for locations of fabulous public art.
Art Walks generally occur on the second Friday of the month June through September and a special “Winter” Art Walk in December from 6 to 8PM at art galleries and businesses displaying artwork located along Main Street and at the Emerson Center for Arts and Culture. The galleries feature artists’ openings and receptions and often provide hors d’oeuvres and complimentary refreshments. Also, keep an eye out for local musicians playing music as your stroll Main Street in Downtown Bozeman.
Within the Reopening Guidelines set by our governor and supported by our local health department, Phase 1 is only allowing gatherings of 6 people or less and Phase 2 is allowing 50 people or less with no set timelines on the Phased transitions. With all of our community events, including Art Walks, we assume much larger group gatherings, we must make decisions on these possible delays based on our own internal timelines needed for the planning and implementing of these events. It is our duty, as a community organization to refrain from encouraging anything that could jeopardize the health of our community.
We plan to make decisions on the remaining Art Walk dates in July, August and September no less than 30 days from the original event date. Stay tuned here or @DowntownBozeman for additional information.
