Earth Day Festival 2019 – Community Solutions for a Healthy Planet.

 Learn how you can create a healthy planet.  Exhibits, presentations every half hour, and a family oriented stage show. Special family events include face painting, puppet show, music and dance!  Free & open to the public – all ages welcome. 

Booths:  Outside: MSU Bridger Solar Team's solar electric car, Bob Greenhouse bus (weather permitting). Inside: Various community groups, including Montana State and Bozeman high school students, share solutions for a healthy planet. Learn about: Sustainable gardening, composting, plastic alternatives, green transportation options like Streamline bus, making your house “greener”, Native plants, Wildlife/Wildlands and more.

Small Conference Room - Free classes every half hour:

1:00 pm - Join the Sacajawea Audubon Society for “Bird Friendly Home & Garden Tips”.  Learn simple things to do to create a healthy environment around your home to keep our birds healthy & happy.

1:30 pm – “Get Started on Zero Waste Living”: Learn strategies for reducing your household waste. Save money and improve your health, all while greening the planet from Bozeman’s own Julie Fathy.

2:00 pm – “5 Easy Ways to Help Save the Bees”:  Find out why everyone raves about Steve Thorson’s bee talks!  Steve (owner of Montana Honey Bee) shares his love of bees and gives simple ways that you can help them.

2:30 pm – “America’s Climate Solution” – Would you like a bi-partisan supported proposal that will effectively reign in carbon emissions while creating jobs and depositing money in your bank account?  Find out more from a Citizens’ Climate Education volunteer explaining this effective solution that is supported on both sides of the aisle!

3 pm - Stage show includes live music, Bumble Bee dance, puppet show.
