Slap Shot tells the story of a fictional minor league hockey team saved from the brink of bankruptcy by adopting a unique style of play. Paul Newman stars as Reggie Dunlop, the player captain of the Chalrestown Chiefs.  Stuck between wanting to play the game the right way and the prospect of losing the team altogether, Dunlop begrudgingly introduces three of the unruliest hockey players the world has ever known, the Hanson Brothers. In short order they literally and figuratively flip everything on its head.

This film is made by hockey lovers for hockey lovers. It’s a hyperbolic snapshot in time of what life was like in minor league hockey. Today’s hockey is tame by comparison, but no less fun. Our goal is to bring you events like this off the ice so we can continue to develop more opportunities to offer amazing experiences on it. Slap Shot is presented in part by the support of our sponsor, Brian Chisdak M.D., but also by the kind donations from our community. We appreciate your support as we continue to work towards our goal of providing four seasons of ice to the Gallatin Valley

By collaborating with our sponsors, donors, and expansive ice community, we hope to strengthen our bond through shared experiences. The Gallatin Ice Foundation aims to enhance our collective experiences by providing four seaons of ice for skaters, curlers and hockey players across the valley.

Slap Shot is rated "R" and is intended for mature audiences only.
