Thaw out your imagination this spring break with the Yellowstone Theatre Project’s New Seeds Short Play Festival. Directors Kristin Hammargren and Miles Duffey will guide students through the ins and outs of theatre production and performance by staging short plays.
Older students (7th-12th grade) will work in small ensembles to write and perform original pieces while younger students (3rd-6th grade) focus on choose-your-own-adventure storybook plays. Does your child prefer to stay out of the limelight? No problem! We’ll have tracks available for behind-the-scenes roles as directors and stage managers in addition to performers.
All students will participate in fun, imaginative, ensemble-building games and learn about the creative process from the perspective of a performer and a writer. At the end of the last day, we’ll share our creative adventures with a performance for family and friends.
