Big Brothers Big Sisters of Gallatin County was founded in Bozeman in 1973. The local agency serves children ages 5-15 in Bozmena, Belgrade, Manhattan, Three Forks, Four Corners, Gallatin Gateway and Big Sky, withsatellite offices in Ennis and West Yellowstone. Our mission is to provide children facing adversity with strong and enduring, professionally supported 1-to-1 relationships that change their lives for the better, forever.
BYEP is a non-profit in the Gallatin Valley providing local, at-risk youth with an unparalleled group mentoring program. By immersing youth in life skills workshops and outdoor adventures, participants graduate from high school and have actionable plans that lead to independence through education, vocation or service.

The Bozeman Symphony Orchestra and Symphonic Choir is one of the community’s most highly regarded performing arts organizations. The organization presents six major subscription concerts, world-class pianists in recital, free family performances, a free Festival of the Fourth celebration (July 4th at the Gallatin County Fairgrounds), and several special events each symphonic season. Regular collaborations include performances of Tchaikovsky’s Nutcracker with the Montana Ballet Company and special projects with the MSU School of Music. Under the direction of Matthew Savery, the Bozeman Symphony is consistently praised for high quality performances and artistic standards presenting guest artists from around the world and representation of 175 local musicians. The organization provides employment and engagement opportunities to over 300 people. Intermountain Opera Bozeman is Montana’s premier opera organization. IOB is known nationally for its first-class productions featuring guest artists who regularly sing at the Metropolitan Opera and other major opera houses with an orchestra and chorus comprised of the finest local and regional musicians. Annually IOB brings two fully staged operas to life, collaborates with Montana Shakespeare in the Parks for a musical theater production, sponsors the Opera Run and provides educational outreach activities and events for schools and the general public.

The Sweet Pea Festival has been a Bozeman tradition since 1978 and is celebrating its 40th Festival in 2017. Activities include Chalk on the Walk, the Bite of Bozeman, a juried Art Show, a parade, the Children's Run, and three days of music, dance, theatre, children's activities, workshops, arts and crafts booths, food vendors, and a craft beer and wine garden in downtown Lindley Park.
