The Bozeman Symphony Orchestra and Symphonic Choir is one of the community’s most highly regarded performing arts organizations. The organization presents six major subscription concerts, world-class pianists in recital, free family performances, a free Festival of the Fourth celebration (July 4th at the Gallatin County Fairgrounds), and several special events each symphonic season. Regular collaborations include performances of Tchaikovsky’s Nutcracker with the Montana Ballet Company and special projects with the MSU School of Music. Intermountain Opera Bozeman is Montana’s premier opera organization. IOB is known nationally for its first-class productions featuring guest artists who regularly sing at the Metropolitan Opera and other major opera houses with an orchestra and chorus comprised of the finest local and regional musicians. Annually IOB brings two fully staged operas to life, collaborates with Montana Shakespeare in the Parks for a musical theater production, sponsors the Opera Run and provides educational outreach activities and events for schools and the general public.

The Sweet Pea Festival has been a Bozeman tradition since 1978 and is celebrating its 40th Festival in 2017.
