The annual Bozeman Doc Series Earth Day Event, presented with Gallatin Valley Earth Day, is a highlight of Bozeman’s April celebrations, featuring a community reception and the Montana premiere of a powerful new documentary about our relationship with nature. Past screenings include River and The Path of the Panther; this year showcases Folktales, a Sundance hit by Academy Award-nominated filmmakers Heidi Ewing and Rachel Grady. Set at a Norwegian folk school near the Arctic, the film follows teens spending a transformative gap year immersed in dog sledding, wilderness survival, and deep connection to nature. The event begins at 6pm with food, drinks, live music, and a silent auction featuring local businesses before the film screening at 7pm.
