“If we don’t keep our natural areas connected to each other, we will continue to lose biodiversity and healthy ecosystem processes that are key to our health and survival” - Center for Large Landscape Conservation

Join Rob Ament and Liz Fairbank to learn how we can preserve biodiversity while saving lives - both people and wildlife.

Most of us have had the frightening experience of hitting or almost hitting a deer or other large mammal on our roadways. Wildlife-vehicle collisions are a growing, dangerous, and expensive problem. But fortunately, effective solutions exist. During this event, two local experts in the field of road ecology will explore a variety of measures being implemented in Montana and around the world to prevent these tragic accidents, including different types of wildlife crossing structures. They will also discuss current efforts to reduce collisions right here in the Gallatin Valley.
