Cactus Records & Gifts will be celebrating Record Store Day 2023 with hundreds of limited edition vinyl, CD, and cassette tape releases, live music performances throughout the afternoon, plus free giveaways, merriment and much more!
Live Music performances will start at 12 noon with singer-songwriter solo artist Michael Kirkwood, followed by Jazz from The Alex Robilotta Trio featuring Isaac Winemiller & Josh Poole. After that, indie-pop songstress Steven Stephens will perform, followed by the stomp rock and blues of Gallatin Ghost Train. The afternoon’s live music will conclude with long-time Bozeman Hip-hoppers Filth & Foul!
Our friends at Colombo’s Pizza will be providing some pizza, plus Bunkhouse brewing will be providing some of their locally crafted beer. Also, Logjam Entertainment has given us some free event tickets to giveaway, and KGVM will be broadcasting from the party live!
This year’s list of limited edition Record Store Day music releases has been described as one of the best in years, and comes from a wide spectrum of genres and artists – from old to new.
There are hundreds of releases in all, and you can see the complete list here. This year’s most talked-about release is by Taylor Swift, with a re-imagining of her “Folklore” album that won’t be available anywhere except independent retail. Because of the limited nature of the releases, and efforts to get customers as many items on their lists as possible, Cactus Records only allows 1 copy per customer on the day of Record Store Day.
Cactus Records & Gifts will open their doors at 9am on Record Store Day. They are located at 2742 W. Main St. and cactusrecords.net.
