About Abby Flanagan:
Abby Flanagan began playing fiddle in the third grade when she was introduced to French Canadian tunes and the local fiddle traditions of Maine. The adjacent tradition known as Old Time has been the focus of her playing as an adult. Her appreciation for fiddle tunes and regional styles is matched by her preoccupation with sound itself, and the phenomenon of the fiddle bow sounding the strings.
