Land Marks - group exhibition

Old Main Gallery is pleased to feature Allen Morris, Gregoire Moulin and David Shannon-Lier in a three person exhibition Land Marks. An Artists’ Reception will take place on Friday, February 7th from 5-7PM at Old Main Gallery.

Land Marks combines the work of three distinguished landscape photographers, highlighting marks made on the land, either natural or artificial. These land marks intertwine narratives, geographical & psychological locations in life while drawing a line between modes of understanding the world.

Allen Morris is a photographer based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He makes photographs that focus on the relationship between humans and their environments with a particular interest on the influence of place on identity. He is an active member of the Postcard Collective and the Society for Photographic Education.

Grégoire Moulin was born in Paris and spent much of his childhood in South Africa. The wild landscape and dramatic coastlines there became his first classroom, where he learned to appreciate and capture the beauty of his surroundings at an early age.

David Shannon-Lier is a photographer based in Bozeman, MT. Since receiving an MFA from Arizona State University in 2013, he has been exhibiting his work on a national and international level. In 2015, he was awarded first place in the LensCulture Exposure Award.
