MSU Continuing, Professional and Lifelong Learning is partnering with local mental health professionals to offer a virtual panel discussion addressing pandemic-related stress and uncertainty. This panel of mental health professionals will address some of the common difficulties that are affecting many of us during the pandemic and will present tips and techniques for managing stress and mental health challenges. The panels will also provide advice for managing anxiety as we emerge from the pandemic and adjust to the “new normal.” The panel discussion is free and open to the public.
“Managing Mental Health in the New Normal: Teachers and Parents,” will be presented on April 7 from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. This panel of experts will offer mental health and stress management guidance for people working in education and parents with school-aged kids or younger.
Panelists include Alison Brennan, MSU Extension Mental Health Specialist; Heidi Lester, MSU Extension Kinship Navigator Program; Perrin Lundgren, Bozeman Help Center Community Educator; Laura Thum, MSU Counseling and Psychological Services; Tara Mastel, MSU Extension Leadership Development; and Katelyn Anderson, MSU Extension Agent.
