I am a modern western painter based out of Jackson Hole, Wyoming. As an artist, I focus on contemporary portrayal of the beauty of the American west. My paintings are acrylic on birch wood, with an epoxy resin finish poured on top. The use of negative space is done to accentuate the subject matter. The modern representation is a direct influence in my work as a professional graphic designer, as the art is manipulated digitally, and then translated manually to my wooden canvas . This mix of composition and materials give my work a modern twist to traditional western art.
