CHIEF PEOPLE STRATEGY OFFICER Wipfli LLP is assisting our client, Sharbert Enterprises, with the selection process for an executive to collaborate with their C-suite and lead their people strategy for growth and employee development. The Company currently employs more than 150 people in retail, ecommerce, and hospitality positions, with plans to grow substantially both organically and via possible acquisitions. This is a strategically focused senior level position that must be able to “see around the corners” for the next business opportunity, and who can roll up their sleeves and work in concert with their HR Manager and staff on the nuts and bolts of HR in the near-term. Principle Duties and Responsibilities include: • Works closely with senior management to develop and implement business strategy for growth • Fully participates in strategic planning and takes the lead in development of the people and processes to support this growth – has a passion for inspiring people to be their best, at work and personally • Sets the tone for the team’s culture of trust, respect, and accountability through the creative and supportive improvement of hiring, training, and retention practices • Strategic direction and oversight of all major HR functions (hiring, performance management, succession, compensation, benefits, learning and development, safety and health, etc.) • Management of employee relations, problem solving, and conflict resolution in a manner that positively supports both managers and employees, and promotes respect for all • Planning, implementation, and management of employee engagement initiatives & services • Assessment and management of employment-related risk factors, regulatory & legal compliance • Oversight of all necessary recordkeeping, compliance and reporting requirements, including safety/health and management of the HRIS (currently using ADP) • Oversight of staff members in the HR department (manager, recruiter, assistant) Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: • Proven business management and organizational strategic planning experience – good business sense and understanding of financial statements and indicators • Experience and commitment to purposefully designing a positive and engaging workplace culture • Bachelor’s degree in business management/communications required, prefer MBA or related master’s • 8+ years of progressively responsible business & HR management experience, retail/hospitality preferred • Excellent interpersonal communications and experience/training in positive problem resolution • Deep knowledge of employment-related legal and regulatory issues • High proficiency in use of computer programs – Outlook/Word/Excel/Powerpoint/ADP-HRIS Wipfli LLP is conducting this recruiting process.
