Position: Retail Associate Key Professional Traits: High energy, driven to complete tasks efficiently and in a timely manner Customer Service minded Able to see the big picture using strong judgment to see what is in the best interests of the business and the customer Likes to cook, entertain, has an appreciation for hospitality and community Strong tech skills (video, photography, Mac & Microsoft user) Job Duties: The optimum candidate will be able to deliver unparalleled customer service, in addition to, and more specifically: Be a self-starter who is willing to think creatively and have a growth mindset Deliver customer service that is supportive, thoughtful and proactive A background and interest in cooking and/or entertaining and the companionable supplies and tools Support customers in their selection and purchase of kitchen & dining products Assist with merchandising new inventory and regularly changing displays, manage well organized and fully stocked merchandise on the floor and in storage In-process arriving inventory, out process online orders for pickup and shipping Support chefs and attendees in cooking classes, to include serving, dishes, kitchen prep and cleanup, sales transactions, and taking photos/video Demonstrate a passion for creating a beautiful and welcoming home, cooking, and building community Building relationships with customers by offering a specialized experience to include conversation, product education, gift wrapping, and offering complimentary food and drink Required Qualifications: A thoughtful and creative individual who is highly detail orientated, self-motivated with attentiveness to deadlines, and a thoughtful problem solver is required. The applicant should have experience in either retail or hospitality related tasks. Shopify experience is a plus! Associates must have some monthly availability on evenings and at least two Saturdays/month to support regular business activities, including cooking classes, and open hours of Tue - Sat 10-5:30.
