The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at Montana State University, in partnership with the Belgrade Community Library, will host the presentation “Cybersecurity: Then, Now and Tomorrow” at 6 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 4, at the library. The event is free and open to the public.
Ronda Black, information technology program director at Gallatin College MSU, will cover the history of cybersecurity, current threats and future goals of information security. She will also discuss how cybersecurity has changed the way society has looked at homeland defense and the importance of defending and securing information in a digital age.
Black has a bachelor’s degree in management information systems from Franklin University, two associate of applied science degrees and years of professional network security experience. She says she is passionate about technology and ways to enhance the classroom environment for today's students.
