Get ready to spark your understanding of wildfire resilience and learn how to better protect your home from wildfire in this hands-on MSU After Hours workshop. This interactive workshop begins with an overview of wildfire history, behavior, and risk, helping you understand what wildfire really means for our communities. Then, we will dive into practical, landscape-based strategies to make your property more fire-resilient without sacrificing what you love about your yard. Along the way, we’ll learn from one another by sharing stories about what we value in our landscapes, evaluating real-world fire risks in built environments, and even assessing your own property (bring photos!). Come curious and ready to participate. Leave energized, informed, and “on fire” with actionable ideas you can use to help protect your home—and strengthen the resilience of our entire community.
