Verdi and Piave’s tragic masterpiece based on Victor Hugo’s controversial play tells the story of a hunchback jester fighting against the powers around him for the good of his family.

Intermountain Opera is excited to bring Rigoletto back after not being seen on Bozeman stages in over twenty years, this production features the return of baritone Grant Youngblood (last seen in 2021’s Circle of Resilience) in the title role along with company favorites soprano Vanessa Becerra and tenor John Riesen in their respective role debuts as Gilda and Duke of Mantua.
