The Downtown Bozeman Association, Downtown Bozeman art galleries, and retailers and the Emerson Center for Art and Culture are proud to present the Downtown Bozeman Winter Art Walk on Friday, December 9, 2016 from 6-8pm.

The Winter Art Walk is the last Art Walk of the 2016 season which occur on 2nd Fridays of the month; June through September and once again in December in Downtown Bozeman. The businesses and galleries generally feature artists’ openings and receptions during the event and often provide complimentary hors d’oeuvres and refreshments. 

Maps for the 2016 Art Walks are available now and throughout the year at the participating business below or CLICK HERE.  In addition to the featured openings at the galleries and businesses, the Art Walks also feature live performances throughout downtown (weather dependent). 

  • Alara Jewelry is featuring sculptor, Elaine Hansard.  A prolific artist, Elaine drew up in Bozeman, and always had a love of nature. What started with making horses out of Sculpey as a child has progressed to making Bronze Sculptures inspired by Fantasy and Mythology. Her method has typically been to build everything up from the bone, muscle, to skin, using a wire armature and an oil based clay. 
  • Altitude Gallery is featuring handmade ornaments by local artists.
  • The Artshoppe features an array of art throughout the year.
  • Artists’ Gallery is featuring oil painter Anne Danahy and ceramic artist Katie Redfield
  • Cello is featuring artist Bonny Fleming. Bonny is an awarding winning photographer and digital artist based out of the Black Hills of South Dakota. Specializing in landscapes and nature photography. 
  • Collective by dawn Josephine is proud to feature Keeley Jones, showing her pencil drawings, of the Faces of Bozeman.
  • Country Bookshelf will feature a Book Signing with Patrik Hill, author of Downtown Noir.
  • CTA Architects Engineers is featuring Sweetgrass Woodworks and artist Kate Glasch. Sweetgrass Woodworks creates handmade barnwood and moss wall art for any space that needs a little more of the feel goods.
  • Dari Rasa Trunk Show is featuring varied artists and wordly treasures throughout the art walk season
  • Ecce Gallery featuring unique and eclectic art throughout the art walk season
  • Element by Westin Bozeman is proud to host varied local artists throughout the year.
  • ERA Landmark will have a display created by the kids of the Boys & Girls Club of Southwest Montana, support our community and enjoy some refreshments.
  • Four Winds Gallery will be featuring native American artist Paul Reevis. Paul is an enrolled member of the Blackfeet Tribe who comes from a lineage of Blackfeet Cultural practitioners. Reevis's artistic expressions are combinations of representative western art, American Indian (Blackfeet) Norman Rockwell-like depictions of the American living environment, and American Indian Conceptual Art that conveys the traditional and contemporary aspect of American Indian (Blackfeet) Cultural Mythology.
  • The Foundry is featuring local artist Christina Nelson.
  • Gem Gallery is featuring their Annual Holiday Open House on Dec. 9 and through the weekend.
  • Hattie Rex is featuring Courtney Pomeroy and her show titled; Gilded. 
  • Head West is featuring various artists throughout the art walk season.
  • Indulgence Beauty Bar is featuring Nathalie Woods, an illustrator and graphic artist. Born in France, Nathalie Woods studied at the School of Theatre and the Visual Arts and the School of Decorative Arts in Paris.
  • Jessie Wilber Gallery is featuring their Annual Celebration of the Arts exhibit. December 9, 2016 - January 27, 2017.  Group, mixed-media show featuring works of local and regional artists who generously donate to our fundraising event. 2016-17 participating artists are:  Carol Barmier, Joanne Berghold, Meagan Blessing, Michael Blessing, Kathy Burk, Roger Cruwys, Josh DeWeese, Jim Dick, Loretta Domaszewski, Tom Gilleon, Dave Hall, Craig Herbert, JROD, Duncan Kippen, Liz Lewis, John Lewton, Wendy Marquis, Tara Moore, Mark Noyes, Mike O’Connell, Bruce Pierce, Peggy Ryan Scott Scherer and Kara Tripp. The Lobby Gallery is featuring Montana State University staff exhibit - December 9, 2016 - February 3, 2017 with works by Meta Newhouse and Jim Zimple that were inspired by travels abroad to Italy. The Weaver Room Gallery will feature Montana State University student exhibit - December 9, 2016 - February 3, 2017 with mixed media work by students of art inspired by travels abroad to Italy. 
  • The LARK is featuring artists Seth Neilson ( and Jake Mosher ( and The LARK Fire will be raging!
  • Legacy Gallery is featuring an entire wall of  Holiday Small Works -- paintings 12" x 16" or smaller -- and small bronzes.  Multiple Artists will be included in the display including all of our Montana Artists. 
  • Lockhorn Cider House is featuring nature artist Kelley J. Sullivan. Kelly is a mixed media painter and Bozeman native. She carries a strong belief that art should evoke a response, with feelings deeply personal and potentially different for each viewer. Her work has been shown extensively in Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Sausalito, California. Her pieces have been published in multiple international mixed media coffee table books and many of her paintings can be found in private collections across the U.S. and Canada.
  • MaYarising is featuring artist Teal Francis, Teal lives in Bozeman and does most of her work at her home studio. She is mainly a printmaker (though she also does painting, drawing, and design) and specializes in screen and woodcut prints. She is interested in the dialogue between characters, objects, and space, and through these relationships aims to express simple realities of living.
  • Meridian Boutique is featuring Stacy Townsend of Townsend Collective. She will be showing both photography and Jewelry.
  • Miller’s Jewelry is featuring their Annual Ugly Sweater Party with specials throughout the store.
  • Montana Gift Corral is featuring varied local artists and shows throughout the art walk season.
  • Old Main Gallery will be featuring local artist/painter Jerolyn Dirks. Jerolyn works primarily in oils from plein air studies done around her Montana homestead.
  • PureWest Christie’s Real Estate will be featuring local artist Jamie Greany
  • Revolvr Menswear is featuring local artist Hannah Uhde
  • Sacks Thrift of Bozeman, a program of Help Center, Inc., will continue Bozeman High School Art Club’s upcycling projects during Art Walk. Students have taken Sacks merchandise and turned it into art to donate back to Sacks to help fund Help Center, Inc. programs such as the 24-hour Crisis & Suicide Prevention line, 406-586-3333, Sexual Assault Counseling Center, and more.   • Sassy Sisters is featuring various artists throughout the art walk season.
  • Schnee’s is featuring various artists throughout the art walk season.  They will have a reception and refreshments
  • Style A Gallery is featuring “Warriors” by William Hawkins Hunter. 20% of sales will be donated to Rocky Mountain Hemophilia.
  • Sundog Fine Art is pleased to a variety of Native American art and artists
  • TRIPP Studio presents new palette-knife paintings by Kara Tripp.  Image:  "Prairie Buffalo" 30x48 Oil. TRIPP Studio is now representing Bozeman Glass Artist, Kathy Burk and her amazing Thermal Pool Bowl designs.
