The Downtown Bozeman Association, Downtown Bozeman art galleries, and retailers and Emerson Center for the Arts and Culture are proud to present the 2017 Art Walks. The Art Walks occur on the 2nd Friday of the month; June through September and again for our “Winter” Art Walk in December from 6 to 8PM in Downtown Bozeman. The businesses and galleries generally feature artists’ openings and receptions during the event and often provide complimentary hors d’oeuvres and refreshments.  The remaining 2017 Art Walk date is Friday, December 8.

Maps for the 2017 Art Walks are now available at any of the businesses below or electronically HERE. The December featured artists and openings are listed below:

  • Alara Jewelry is excited to showcase both Lee Jones & John Paul and their incredible works of art. John Paul's jewelry are hand-forged out of copper, silver, & gold with an earthy, rugged appearance while Lee Jones' designs represent delicate femininity defined in precious metals... two designers - two completely different looks! And, back by popular demand from last years Winter Art Walk... our signature Moroccan Etiquette Signature Cocktail. Cheers!
  • Altitude Gallery will be showcasing brand new works by several featured local artists.
  • The Artshoppe
  • Artists’ Gallery will host three featured artists. Sara Orchard creates bright, functional fused glass pieces; Linda Williams captures intimate still lives and open landscapes in oil; and Janel Acheson paints detailed, realistic and honest works in oil.

  • Boho Boze
  • Bozeman Spirits Distillery is featuring artist Erik Dayhoff. Eric studied art education at East Carolina University. As a student, he concentrated in sculpture and Ceramics. His life has led him down a different path and now finds great pleasure in expressing himself through paint. It is his goal to provoke conversation and capture a moment of expression.
  • Cello
  • Collective by dawn josephine is featuring will feature two artists – Sarah Hahn and Lisa Easton. Sarah captures ‘Ski Towns” of the West as she dabbles in oil paints. Lisa creates beautiful metal, wood, paper custom lighting and furniture.
  • Constructive Solutions, Inc. will have K. Potter Fine Art at their studio. For K, art is the ultimate expression because meaning often gets lost or changed with words. She uses color, linework and composition to communicate meaning through an experience. Her portrayal of wildlife brings out their unique personalities and bridges the gap between animal and human.
  • Country Bookshelf will have an author event with Walt and Rosemary Newman for their new cookbook, Barley is Better, at 6:00 pm. They are bringing barley cookies to sample and will be presenting on and signing copies of the book.
  • CTA Architects Engineers will include a handful of in-house individuals - Showcasing the creative talents that our Architects & Engineers have outside of the daily work environment. Check out a multitude of 2D, 3D and mixed media artwork.
  • Ekam Yoga
  • ERA Landmark will have artwork created by the kids of the Boys & Girls Club of Southwest Montana, support our community, and enjoy some refreshments. Since 1987 the associates of ERA Landmark have been proud contributors to the Boys & Girls Club of Southwest Montana. A portion of each real estate transaction is dedicated to a special fund to benefit children of the Gallatin Valley during the holiday season. Our “Season of Giving” has assisted in making the holidays a bit more radiant for local families.
  • Evrgreen will showcase artist Rebecka Peacock.
  • Four Winds Gallery will be having an artist’s reception featuring new works from Susan Stewart, located in the Emerson Cultural Center.
  • The Gem Gallery will be having our annual Holiday Open House with food, drinks, and joy. 
  • Girls Outdoors will be featuring artisan Allison Gilley “Blue Iris”.
  • Hattie Rex will feature Cassandra Gates and Julia Dobie’s handcrafted, hand stamped metal jewelry and personalized pet id tags! All of their pieces make great gifts for the holidays and year-round! 
  • Head West
  • Indikoi is a rad new edition to Downtown Bozeman! See professional potter, David Pellerin, demonstrating on the wheel, shop cool art and gifts for the holiday, and get 10% off storewide. 
  • Intrigue Ink is featuring artist Zach Hoffman, who creates cyanotype images with found objects.
  • Jessie Wilber & Lobby Galleries will host their third annual Celebration of the Arts exhibit featuring works generously donated by artists from throughout the region. The Lobby and Weaver Room exhibitions will compliment to this year’s Celebration of the Arts theme; A Night to Remember - Winter Formal. Vintage formal wear and historic photographs of dances that occurred in the Gallatin Valley will be shown in these spaces. 
  • Legacy Gallery
  • Lockhorn Hard Cider will showcase artist Mikaela Gioia Howie. Mikaela hails from an immigrant family who has returned to their roots in the province of Cantabria in northern Spain.  Mikaela has close ties to the Spanish culture as well American roots where she has been educated and taken employment through the years.  It has been her love of wild spaces, adventure and wanderlust that brought her initially to Bozeman where she has made home for the past 3.5 years.  Her art includes pencil drawings, oil and acrylic paintings, and an eye for beauty in the natural world around her captured in photography.  This particular collection is a series of photos taken at the intersection of science and travel adventure and curiosity of the world.
  • Marina Kessler Jewelry & The White Room will be serving handcrafted pies and galettes by Margret Stewart. YUM! Featuring acrylic paintings by Laurel Hatch Studios, jewelry by Marina Kessler and furniture by three local steel workers.
  • MaYarising is will display “Animals Of My Spirit” which showcases animals that make our spirits joyful. Bozeman native, Holly Hickman Janssen, explores in mixed media spirit animals in her first showing of her rediscovered creative side.
  • Meridian Boutique
  • Miller’s Jewelry will be hosting their Annual Ugly Holiday Sweater Party from 6-8pm. All of the staff will be dressed up, and any customers who join in the fun & also don their ugly holiday sweaters will be eligible to receive 10% OFF* their purchases that evening. Doug Badenoch, will be here pouring wonderful wines from The Wine Gallery. AND! New this year, there will be a photo booth in-store --complete with a box of holiday props-- in which people can document the holiday shenanigans!! It's going to be blast.
  • Montana Gift Corral will be featuring  Ne'Qwa Art.  These are specialized ornaments that are reverse painted on the inside.  Artisans from all over the world have painted these, and we will have one of the artists visiting us on Dec 14th, personalizing these ornaments if needed.  
  • Old Main Gallery will be featuring the work of three artists, Emilie Lee, Carol Guzman and Monte Dolack. The show, Infinite Landscape, is a benefit for the American Prairie Reserve.
  • PureWest Christie’s International Real Estate is featuring artist Ben Pease, who has been a professional Native Artist for almost 4 years around the country. His work and process is both stunning and always evolving.
  • Revolvr Menswear will feature beautiful local art from Hannah Uhde.

While you stroll from gallery to gallery, you will be able to enjoy live jazz and rock music played by young musicians from the area.
