On Saturday, December 6th from 4:30 to 7:30 PM, join the Downtown Bozeman Association and our gracious business sponsors as we proudly present the 45th Annual Christmas Stroll in Historic Downtown Bozeman.

Join us for an evening of festive activities, great food, and fun! Bring the whole family down to get your picture taken with Santa Claus, watch the lighting ceremony of the downtown decorations, vote in the Gingerbread House Contest display, take a scenic ride on a Horse-Drawn Wagon, sing Christmas carols, engage with local Non-Profits as they host winter-themed activities, and grab a bite to eat from our various Food Vendors.

GENERAL SCHEDULE OF CHRISTMAS STROLL ACTIVITIES

Lewis & Clark Motel

Experience the magic of an “old-fashioned” Christmas at the Lewis & Clark Motel. Meander through our lobby and view over 1,300 nutcrackers on display before, during, or after the Christmas Stroll. The Lewis & Clark Motel has been bringing the spirit of the holidays to Bozeman since 1976!

Holiday Noir & Holiday Craft at the Emerson

Friday, December 5th

  • 12-3 PM – Stop by the Emerson from to pick up a sock snowman kit to take home and create!

Bozeman Schools Foundation hosts the Annual Santa Run for Education

Annual Gingerbread House Contest Display

Saturday, December 6th

  • 2:30-7:30 PM – The American Legion, Sweet Pea Festival, and First Interstate Bank invite you to view the Gingerbread House Contest entries!
    • Gingerbread houses are to be constructed prior to the event and will be on display at the American Legion’s Second Floor Event Space (225 E Main, Second Floor) Saturday, December 6th from 2:30-7:30 PM. Winners will receive a ribbon for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place as well as a prize package including Downtown Dollars, Sweet Pea Festival Day passes, and other great prizes!

  • 4-7 PM – Horse-Drawn Wagon Rides on N Rouse (between Main and Mendenhall) *$4 Stroll Button Required for ages 1+
    • Climb aboard for a festive ride through the sprawl of downtown, complete with jingling harnesses and holiday cheer.
    • Brought to you by Sunrise Pack Station, these classic wagon rides are the perfect way to experience the magic of the Christmas Stroll.
  • 4:30 PM – The Christmas Stroll Parade begins at the intersection of Main & Willson. Join our Master of Ceremonies, Matt Kraska, as he and Santa make their way down Main Street, lighting the traditional Downtown Bozeman Christmas Spiders. Sing along with the Chief Joseph Middle School Choir as they ring in the Holiday Season at the 45th Annual Christmas Stroll. The parade vehicle, generously provided by Bridger Bowl and decorated by Ace Handyman Services, will be escorted by Montana Youth Challenge Academy’s uniformed cadets!
  • 4:30-7:30 PM – Main Street is filled with food vendors offering a variety of festive fare. All food vendor booths are either hosted by a Non-Profit organization or donating a portion of proceeds to a Non-Profit organization. Grab a bite and know you are eating for a cause!
  • 4:30-7:30 PM – Join our Sponsors and local Non-Profit groups as they host holiday-inspired activities. Warm up around a fire pit with some of your favorite groups, enjoy live caroling, crafts and other festive activities.
  • 4:30-7:30 PM – Downtown businesses feature live music, yummy treats, and holiday fun of all sorts. The Stroll is a great chance to get a few holiday gifts checked off your list.
  • 5-7:30 PM – Santa pictures at the Baxter Hotel, located at 105 W Main St *$4 Stroll Button Required for ages 1+
    • Enjoy traditional holiday songs performed by the Bridger Mountain Harmony Chorus.
    • Sample tasty cookies and fill out holiday cards provided by Ted’s Montana Grill.
    • Adults, make sure to grab a delicious libation from Bacchus Pub or from Ted’s Montana Grill’s patio bar featuring Willie’s Distillery.
    • Photos are taken by 406 Photo; get your Santa Photo Download to cherish for years to come.

You can support the Christmas Stroll by purchasing an “Official 2025 Downtown Bozeman Christmas Stroll Button” for just $4 and be put into a drawing to win various prize packages totaling over $3,000! Please note, an official Christmas Stroll Button is required (for ages 1+) to take pictures with Santa at The Baxter and to ride on the Horse-Drawn Wagon on N Rouse.
