Downtown Bozeman Turns PNK for the Month of October 2024

PNKBZN Highlights Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Downtown Bozeman will turn PNK for the entire month of October with pink banners lining Main Street and window decorations at many of downtown’s retailers and restaurants. Participating businesses will offer "PNK Promotions" with funds going towards local organizations that provide resources and support for those in our community affected by cancer.

10% of sales at The Spice and Tea Exchange every Monday.

A portion of Rockford Coffee’s specialty PNK coffee’s proceeds.

$1 from every rose sold at the Co-Op Downtown.

Suelto Montana Lingerie will donate $5 to the Cancer Support Community every time a customer shares a little Suelto love in October! Completing all 5 Acts of Affection will result in a $25 donation and a chance to WIN a full-length Pluto robe.

After 5 and Weddings will be offering $100 off their gowns for any bride that donates to Cancer Support Community Montana, 100% of proceeds for their pink bow tie sales will benefit CSC as well as 5% from all store profits during the month of October.

Treeline Coffee Roasters will be donating a portion of their sales to Cancer Support Community when you order the "Pink Montana" consisting of espresso, maple syrup, allspice and your choice of milk.

$1 from every bottle of rose purchased at the Co-op Downtown or Co-op West Main will be donated to CSC and $1 from every Raspberry Smoothie purchased at the Crossroad Cafe upstairs at Co-op West Main will be donated to CSC.

Alara Jewelry is offering 10% off all in-stock jewelry crafted in rose gold or featuring pink gemstones AND another 10% of those sales being donated to Cancer Support Communities. Use the code PINK10 at checkout for eligible products or mention this promotion in-store before purchase.

Bozeman Spirits Distillery will be giving 10% of their Huckleberry Vodka sales back to Casting For Recovery throughout October.

SHINE Beer Sanctuary is fundraising by “rounding up” on all transactions for the month of October to support Pack the Place in Pink, a local nonprofit providing support for breast cancer patients in MT. Customers can choose to round up their transactions to support this cause.

$1 from every Raspberry Cider sold at Lockhorn Cider during October will go to Cancer Support Community.

The Kimpton Armory will be offering a Strawberry Meringue Lemon Tart in all three venues and $5 for every tart purchases will go to Cancer Support Community Montana.

Heyday Bozeman is offering one-of-a-kind boob candles in collaboration with Lauren from Inner Alchemy and Lori from Uncommon Scents. 100% of proceeds will be donated to the Mammogram Project in Bozeman. Candles will be available in-store starting 9/28 and online from 9/26, while supplies last.

The Great Rocky Mountain Toy Company will be rounding up all sales that will be donated to CSC.

Old Main Gallery will be donating a portion of the sales of Audrey Hall's work sold during their reception on Oct. 4th to metastatic breast cancer research. 10% of all frames sold during October will go to metastatic breast cancer research.

20% of Pink Skies cocktails at Bacchus Pub will be donated to cancer research.

Rockford Coffee will be offering pink whip cream all of October and donating 100% of the sales to Cancer Support Community.

Moreno Fine Art Gallery will be donating 10% of all sales of artist Javier Moreno during the month of October to Cancer Support Community.

LeeAnn Ramey Art will donate 100% of proceeds from the sale of Kallie Audet’s “Winter in Pink” original oil painting, and 10% of proceeds from all framed canvas giclée sales during October.

MōKA MONTANA is donating 15% of all sales on pink and red items to Cancer Support Community Montana.

Intrigue Ink has made a special design for PNKBZN labeled "Nice Melons", 50% of these proceeds will go to Cancer Support Community.

Ghost Town Coffee Rosters will donate a portion of their sales to Cancer Support Community when you order a Vanilla Rose Latte.

Copper Whiskey Bar will donate a portion of sales for their PNK features throughout October to Cancer Support Community which include: 'The Tata's' cocktail: Whistling Andy Spirit of Sperry, lemon juice, simple syrup, house-made curacao, rhubarb bitters, rose petal sugar rim, lemon twist and Beet & Spinach Dip: roasted beets, spinach, caramelized onions, cream cheese, parmesan cheese, fried shallots, sourdough baguette

Brigade will offer the Ride Across The Dessert cocktail. For every one of these signature drinks sold, Brigade will donate $1 to a breast cancer association, and our partner 406 Agave will match that donation, doubling the impact. That’s $2 donated per drink!

PNKBZN, a community-wide awareness campaign for the month of October, is the result of collaboration and ideas from local Bozeman organizations: Advanced Medical Imaging, Bozeman Health, Cancer Support Community Montana, Downtown Bozeman Partnership, Montana State University, and Montana State University Athletics, with graphic design support from PRIME Incorporated.

PNKBZN seeks to:

Enhance local mindfulness and adherence of following screening guidelines for breast care
Spread awareness on how to access screenings and diagnostic screenings and other resources
Increase the community conversation around cancer awareness
Provide inspirational stories of people in our community who are living with breast cancer

The American Cancer Society estimates that more than 950 women in the state of Montana will be diagnosed with breast cancer in 2022. As of 2018 in the greater Gallatin Valley, approximately one fourth of breast cancers were diagnosed in women under the age of 50. And, while not as common, approximately 2,650 men a year throughout the United States are diagnosed with breast cancer. October was designated as National Breast Cancer Awareness Month in 1985 to raise awareness and gain funding for research for a cure, while elevating education around the importance of annual/early screening.
