44th Annual Christmas Stroll

Saturday, December 7th from 4:30-7:30 PM

We have two options for downtown-located businesses to get involved in the Stroll; host an "In-Store Activity" and/or participate in the "Window Decorating Contest".

Please read the rules and regulations below and submit your application NO LATER than Friday, November 15th.

How to participate in the Christmas Stroll:

Read the information below and submit the Downtown Business Application application NO LATER than Friday, November 15th. There is no fee to participate. All participating businesses with either In-Store Activities or Window Displays will be advertised through all avenues including social media, our website, and in the Official Bozeman Daily Chronicle Christmas Stroll Program.

Then, start planning your holiday cheer! All light/decoration displays must be finished and lit by Friday, December 6th. Let's come together this year and make Downtown Bozeman the most magical place to be this holiday season!

Host an In-Store Activity:

You may consider having carolers in your store, setting up a warming station* on your patio with a little treat**, or having an activity for families in your shop.

*Any business having an open flame must cover it with a metal screen and put the flame out completely and take the remaining ashes with you. Do not, under any circumstances, empty ashes on to the street. Businesses that have a fire pit will be required to have a portable fire extinguisher available for immediate deployment. Bozeman Fire Department recommends a 4A:80B:C extinguisher.

**Foods that are pre-packaged and do not require refrigeration (e.g. candy bars) will NOT require a Temporary Retail Food License. If you are opening packages and processing food, such as cutting food items up, mixing drinks, etc., a Temporary Retail Food License would be required.

Join the Window Decorating Contest:

Help us light up Main Street the week leading up to the Stroll! This has been a huge success in years past and we loved the friendly competition between downtown businesses. We will be promoting the display locations for our community to enjoy!

The following categories* will be judged and receive recognition:

  • Best Window Display
  • Best Outside Building Display
  • The "Merry and Bright" Award (selected for best use of lights)
  • Most Creative Display
  • Best Overall Display

*Categories dependent on amount of entrants.

Winners of the contest in all categories above will be recognized on our platforms and receive bragging rights for years to come as well!

The In-Store Activity and Window Decorating Contest applications are now closed. Thank you to all who applied - we're looking forward to having your organization down on Main Street for the 44th Annual Christmas Stroll!
