Ahhh… summer in downtown Bozeman. The change in the air, the sweet smell of lilacs, sun and warm breeze on your skin - all around downtown is buzzing with life! The sidewalks begin to fill with locals and tourists alike, chairs and tables start to appear outside storefronts, and then when you least expect it; you’re sitting on a patio, two Strange Cattles down, soaking in the rays.
Looking for your summer hang out spot? We’ve got you covered! DTNBZN are experts in all things #patioszn; read on to learn about a few of our favorite spots downtown…
First up, Fresco Café!
Walking West along Mendenhall from Rouse, you start to hear the babble of Bozeman Creek, turning the corner before the bridge, tucked among the greenery you see Fresco’s sunlit, Creekside patio. A beautiful oasis to enjoy excellent, hand-crafted Italian food, sip on exquisite wines and soak in the beauty of Bozeman. Located at 317 E Mendenhall and open Sun-Thurs 4 – 9 PM, Fri-Sat 4 – 9:30 PM.
Next on our list, SHINE Beer Sanctuary + LaPa Grill!
30 revolving beers? 4 varieties of tap wine? A Bottle Shop on-site? It’s no wonder this is a popular spot to grab a brew… or a few. SHINE also hosts the LaPa Grill - a great place to grab a bite! Located at 451 E Main Street, open every day from 11 AM – 9 PM, SHINE doesn’t only host incredible libations, but offers fantastic people watching being right on the Main drag. Not to mention, it’s dog friendly!
Looking for something with a bird’s eye view? Check out the Crystal Bar’s rooftop patio!
Head up the back stairs and ascend into a world of absolute chilling out, maxin’, relaxin’ all cool (name that song!). Breakout the sandals, sunglasses and smiles, this is a great space to settle in, get cozy with your fellow Bozemanites and enjoy the view. Crystal Bar is located at 123 E Main St, open everyday from 10 AM to 2 PM, the rooftop stairs can be accessed either through the Main entrance, or via the alley way.
Keep in mind, this bar is cash only!
Known for it's eclectic décor and tasty fare, Bozeman's historic Bacchus Pub is located inside the Baxter Hotel!
Baxter has owned the space since 1929, but it was not called "The Bacchus" until the 1960s. Since then, the space itself remains largely unchanged! Make sure to order their curry fries and try a Montana Mule during their Tuesday Trivia.
