Downtown Bozeman’s own Ellie Staley to Receive an MSU Honorary Alumni Award

Congratulations to Downtown Bozeman’s own Ellie Staley, who will receive an MSU Honorary Alumni At-Large Award this Friday!

For more than 20 years, Ellie has helped strengthen the connection between Montana State University and the broader Bozeman community. As Executive Director of the Downtown Bozeman Partnership, she brings people together around a shared vision for downtown, leading efforts in revitalization, economic development, and community collaboration.

Ellie has helped advance projects including I-Ho Pomeroy Peace Park, supported major public investments through the Downtown Urban Renewal District, and championed traditions such as the MSU Community Cat Walk, Homecoming, and town-and-gown initiatives.

We’re proud to celebrate Ellie and this recognition of her longtime commitment to MSU, Downtown Bozeman, and the people and place that make our community special.
