Construction Begins at I-Ho Pomeroy Peace Park

This thoughtfully designed park expansion will celebrate I-Ho’s legacy of public service and her deep contributions to the Bozeman community, including her longtime involvement with the Bozeman Sunrise Rotary Club. Inspired by her Korean heritage, the park will feature Korean art elements, enhanced landscaping, new seating and site furnishings, bioretention bump-outs for improved pedestrian safety and stormwater management, expanded bike parking, and a variety of other on-site and off-site improvements.

Project Timeline:

  • Phase 1 Construction: November 6, 2025 – December 15, 2025
  • Phase 2 Construction: Spring 2026
  • Anticipated Completion: June 3, 2026

  • General Contractor: Haselden Montana Constructors
  • Funding Partners: The City of Bozeman, Downtown Bozeman Partnership, Bozeman Sunrise Rotary, the Montana Department of Commerce’s Main Street Program, Gallatin County Open Space Grant, and the Pomeroy Family.

Once complete, the I-Ho Pomeroy Peace Park will serve as a lasting tribute to a beloved community leader and a welcoming space for residents and visitors alike to reflect, gather, and connect.
