Music on Main: Stay Cool With These Rules

26th Annual Music on Main

Thursday Evenings in Downtown Bozeman

We are incredibly excited to bring you the cooolest summer concert series - Music on Main! This free community concert happens each Thursday for 6 weeks starting July 2nd and ending August 6th, 2026, bringing together locals and tourists alike to celebrate regional and national musicians.

While we want to ensure that fun is a-plenty, we also want to ensure that we are all celebrating safely!

A few rules to keep in mind:

July 25th Savvy Hannah 38

OPEN CONTAINER

Music on Main allows for Open Container on Main Street! The Open Container Waiver allows for anyone over the age of 21 to have an open container of alcohol within the “Event Area” purchased by one of the licensed beverage establishments within the “Event Area” only.

“Event Area” is defined as the Main Street closure from Black Avenue to Rouse Avenue to the alleys of North and South Bozeman Avenue. This closure will be in effect from 6 to 9 PM on Thursday nights from July 2nd to August 6th.

Anyone with an open container outside of these perimeters before 6 PM or after 9 PM will be subject to a $100 Open Container Ticket issued by the City of Bozeman. There is no glass permitted for the safety of others and no coolers to encourage support of local establishments.

SUPPORT LOCAL BUSINESSES

We ask that you arrive sans Backpacks or Coolers and avoid bringing in any outside alcohol. Support our local businesses by grabbing a drink from licensed beverage establishments.

Who are these local licensed beverage establishments you should support and buy libations from? Copper Whiskey Bar, Crystal Bar, Cousins Pub, Rocking R Bar, American Legion, Brigade, est. 1864, Bar IX, Pub 317, Pour House Bar & Grill, The Eagles!

FURRY FRIENDS

As pet people, we understand wanting to have your bestie with you to share in on the fun! Although the dream is having your furry friend with you at all times, we do not allow pets in the “Event Area”.

This is set in place with your pet in mind as this event is quite loud, very busy and hot, and just not the most pleasant for those good-working ears and sensitive paws. Leave them at home, turn on the air conditioning, and give them the night off!

SMOKING

Breathe easy, Bozeman! In hopes of providing an enjoyable environment and experience for all, smoking (cigarettes, vapes, etc.) are prohibited in the “Event Area”. Please limit smoking to outside Music on Main... Huff it to puff it!

For assistance quitting tobacco contact 1-800-QUIT-NOW.

Thank YOU for helping us continue to keep Music on Main a fun, safe and free community concert series.

Get ready to rock and we’ll catch you downtown!
