Rachel Erin Driscoll

Rachel Erin Driscoll was born and raised in Montana. She is the fifth generation of her family to live there, three generations in Butte, MT and two in Bozeman, MT. Rachel studied Fine Art at Montana State University, where she focused her studies on the Golden Age Illustrators and early American artists and history. Over the years, she has done paintings for album artwork, props for theater sets, and illustrated short stories. After college Rachel spent 6 years living in Portland, OR and started painting and showing there. Currently she is moving around the country often, but still considers Montana home. She is drawn to the history, and folklore of the American west, as well as the landscape and wildlife. Rachel’s paintings are primarily acrylic on wood panels, but she explores other mediums as well. She hopes to settle permanently in Montana soon, and continue her work making images of the place she loves and studying it’s history.
