Patrick Hoffman

Born in rural Nebraska and raised in both Nebraska and Iowa, I moved to Laramie, Wyoming, in 1997 to pursue my passion for art and the outdoors. I earned a BFA in Ceramics and a BA in Art Education by 2002, followed by an MA in Art Education from the University of Montana in 2011. Since 2002, I have called Bozeman, Montana, home and have been a dedicated faculty member of the Bozeman High School Art Department since 2005. Alongside raising my two children, I continue to cultivate my studio practice through local and regional artistic opportunities.

Art embodies perception, deriving its significance from the dynamic interplay between the artist’s intent and the viewer’s experience. This collection of works draws inspiration from linear compositions, reflecting lines found in our landscape—from horizon interruptions to aerial perspectives. It explores how we visually perceive and connect with our surroundings. I am drawn to clay for its mental and physical challenges, encouraging exploration and risk. As my chosen medium, ceramics provide a platform to express ideas, form, function, and beauty, creating an evolving dialogue with the material.

Kirsten Kainz

The natural world inspires Kirsten's work. Her art captures the best of what is beautiful and helps us find a place of honor for it in our lives. You may be familiar with her large iron animal sculptures or her paintings of ephemeral landscapes and bold horses.

Her subjects and materials evolve quickly and are unlimited. All of her work loops back to one common source which is her deep-seated love of the natural world.
She earned her BFA in metalsmithing at SIU, Carbondale, IL & Curtain University in Western Australia.

Kirsten and her husband live in Montana where they raise four wild girls, host many animals, own Map Brewery, and try to make the most out of living in a beautiful place.

Her fine art paintings and sculptures are featured in public and private collections around the globe.
