In recent years, Music on Main (MoM) has gone through a serious growth! Between our constantly increasing population and the demand for quality production, MoM has been able to fill a unique niche in our community by providing a free live music experience open to everyone. MoM began in the summer of 2001 and featured only one concert by local bluegrass favorite Kane’s River on the side-street of South Bozeman Avenue. In the early years, the event evolved into a series of concerts and has benefited from several new additions such as an array of children’s activities, various food vendors with top-notch cuisine, sponsor activities, and Nonprofit information booths.
In the 2007, we moved MoM on to Main Street and continued to feature concerts with local and touring bands such as Tony Furtado and Cure for the Common. MoM is continuing to adapt and grow with the Gallatin Valley giving the community one more reason to get out and enjoy downtown Bozeman.
As with many of the free community events hosted by the Downtown Bozeman Association, sponsorship is vital. Fiscal sponsorship for MoM contributes towards booking bands and providing hospitality accommodations, obtaining proper permitting, providing safety and sanitation for patrons, and beyond!
